About MTS

Royal Holloway Musical Theatre Society (MTS) is one of the largest and most active societies on campus. Open to singers, dancers, actors, directors, crew, or just musical lovers, MTS offers a place for everyone. A typical year involves two auditioned Main Term Productions performed in November and March (Shrek the Musical, Sweeney Todd, and Sweet Charity have been performed recently), and Winter Cabaret alongside informal events ensuring opportunities for all.

Term 2 also features a mini-show (Fairylight's and Step into Spring for example) offering a platform for smaller or original pieces. The Summer Term features the annual Summer Cabaret, bringing the society together with a range of non-auditioned numbers, auditioned group pieces, solos, and duets, as well as 'Variations' - an original musical written, produced, and performed by MTS freshers (past examples include: Horrible History The Musical and Strictly The Musical).
